Mask

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPad

I made the following changes to my mask from the planing stage is
I decided to put feathers across the top instead of having pipe cleaners along the top.

The hardest part of creating my mask was...
Adding the line across the eye and cutting the eye holes out.

The colours i decided to use represent :
A big bang of everything.

My mask is suitable for celebrating 30 years of at the cultural festival because:
Because it's a mixture of heaps of mine,Tahemaka and Kyles masks.

Native bird drawing

From bradley native bird
From bradley native bird
I chose this very native bird to our country the great kiwi. Kiwis are endagered in new zealand so i thought to myself 'that should be nice and easy to draw. Firstly I started off by tracing around  a stencil  of the bird. The art teacher  told us to slowly get darker with the colours so i did that. We only had one and a half hour to finish our drawings, so i rushed it,  next time i will take my time when i draw so it will look better. She said the more detail i put in the better the picture. The artist who drew the native birds  had a passion for them, she took about 6 weeks to finish one project, so for one and a half hours I think I had a pretty good drawing of my native bird. I had a good time and and i think im going to use these skills again.I did not like taking my time to draw the kiwi because i am a very inpatient person.
